Industrial & Warehouse

European industrial market leader is extending Panattoni Park Tychy and is to lease out over 38,000 sqm to two tenants. The first is Tiberina Group subsidiary U-Form, a leading supplier of components for the automotive sector in the EMEA region. The company was represented by Cresa Polska. The other is Nodium Group – the owner of two online platforms – sport-shop.pl and nodik.pl. The company is to consolidate its operations by occupying more warehousing space than it already leases.

Panattoni accelerates in Tychy. The developer is extending Panattoni Park Tychy and the development is to reach its final build-out area of 80,000 sqm. In the complex under development, Tiberina Group and U-Form is to lease 23,150 sqm. In 2020, U-Form was recognised as the best supplier of metal components for car bodies in the EMEA region by the FCA Group. The company specialises in supplying aluminium components for passenger vehicles, which it produces with an innovative technological process. The company is starting its operations in Poland and has chosen the Tychy complex for its first Polish location. The company is to enter the park in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Tomasz Sikora, Leasing Manager from Panattoni: “Leasing space to both Tiberina Group and Nodium once again demonstrates that Panattoni makes an excellent partner for a company looking to grow. This is true for both those that are coming into Poland and for those that are looking to consolidate and lease more space. With investments being made by international firms such as Tiberina, Poland is becoming an important player in the automotive sector, which is one of the most important global industries. When it comes to the expansion of the Nodium Group, what is most pleasing is that an ever-larger slice of the e-commerce cake is being taken by Polish companies, and the revenue of Nodium itself exceeded in 2020 PLN 100 milion net. Furthermore in 2020 alone, 12,000 new internet stores were registered and at the beginning of the year, they numbered 21.5% more than at the start of the previous year. The growth of Polish e-commerce is beyond question and Panattoni continues to support it through its developments.”

Jakub Kurek, Associate Director, Industrial and Warehouse Department at Cresa Polska: “The key consideration in searching out a location for our client, U-Form, was the distance both to the manufacturing Plant of Stellantis Group and to the BMW Group Leipzig Plant. It was also important that the client would be able to adapt the space for the production of car body panels, which it supplies to the largest automotive concerns around the world. Because of the scheduling for the start date of operations, it was also crucial for the space to be available this year. Additionally, the client much appreciated the flexibility and the model way in which Panattoni worked with them in partnership. As a result, very soon another 100 jobs are to be created in Upper Silesia. The companies will start using the space in the fourth quarter of 2021.”

Nodium Group is also entering Panattoni Park and will take up 15,000 sqm. The Polish-based company owns two online platforms: sport.shop.pl – one of the largest online sports stores in Poland – and nodik.pl with a range of children’s goods. It is due to the growth of both brands that the company is to consolidate its operations in Panattoni Park Tychy and by doing so it is also to take up more warehouse space than it previously leased.

Panattoni Park Tychy is to be a complex of two buildings with a planned area of around 80,000 sqm. The development lies barely 5 km from the A1 motorway, which links Poland’s southern border with the coast in the north. It is also 2 km from national road 44, which goes on to Kraków and gives easy access for motor vehicles to the Silesian region, the rest of the country and Southern Europe. The park is near the Czech and Slovak borders as well as three airports: in Kraków, Katowice and Ostrava. Panattoni Park Tychy meets the requirements of various industries and is equally suitable for warehousing and light production purposes. The specific design of the park also allows for the flexible arrangement of both office and warehouse modules.
